Café Perle

Café Perle wanted me to brand their restaurant with a modern victorian theme in mind. The client wanted to bring a slice of French & European culture to New Orleans. Unity in the brand identity is created by using repeating patterns and colors ways.

For the Café Perle logo I was inspired by signage in the 19th century and the delicate aesthetic of traditional lettering. I was able to achieve this by hand drawing the typographic elements of the logo. The handlettered typography in the logo allows for elements to appear more organic, unique, and is similar to the inspirational subject matter.
