Celebrating Community Art: PushPin Show Returns
This year, I’m thrilled to share that one of my latest works, a painting featuring my son’s art in conjunction with mine, will be part of the 34th annual PushPin Show at the Runyan Gallery in the Newport Visual Arts Center. The exhibition, hosted by the Oregon Coast Council for the Arts (OCCA), runs from December 8th, 2024, to January 5th, 2025, bringing together artists and art lovers from across Lincoln County.
The PushPin Show is more than just an art exhibition; it celebrates creativity in all its forms. From beginner to professional artists, everyone is welcome to participate, creating a vibrant and inclusive showcase. For this year’s event, the show has expanded to include not only wall-mounted works but also small three-dimensional pieces displayed on pedestals.
Why This Show Matters
The PushPin Show embodies the spirit of our local arts community. It’s a space where artists of all ages and skill levels can connect, share their talent, and inspire others. For me, having a piece that reflects such a personal moment with my son included in this celebration feels incredibly special.
I hope you’ll join us to experience the creativity, talent, and heart of our community. Whether you’re an artist, an art enthusiast, or just curious, there’s something magical waiting for you at the PushPin Show.
